A rental unit we own has a porcelin tub that the previous owner painted over with an enamel paint job, ?

which is now peeling!! what is the best way to deal with this: what could we use, if anything, that would remove the enamel but not damage the tub's surface?

we are looking at replacing it, but of course it would be easier to simply somehow remove the paint.A rental unit we own has a porcelin tub that the previous owner painted over with an enamel paint job, ?
have the tub re-finished by a company that specialized in tub refinishing

to strip the enamel paint and do the job yourself would involve some hazard.

or take the old tub out and use it for a planter and install a new tub form lowes or home depot or some such place as that. (that may be cheaper than re-finishing the old one.)A rental unit we own has a porcelin tub that the previous owner painted over with an enamel paint job, ?
removing the paint will then show you why it was painted by the previous owner. Remove all that you can without using anything metal as a scraper then use a biodegradable stripper to remove the rest.
