My stairs at home are black enamel coated steel and the previous owners got paint on them what should i use?

i really dont wanna sit there picking off paint and i dont want to try white spirt because i dont know if it will damage the enamel paint and make it look even worse! any suggestions? My stairs at home are black enamel coated steel and the previous owners got paint on them what should i use?
I am a painting conrtactor and if the spilled paint is latex wall paint, go to the hardware store and get some denatured alcohol and put some on the tip of a rag and gently rub on the spilled paint , it will sliwly loosen and come off without harming the black stair treads. My stairs at home are black enamel coated steel and the previous owners got paint on them what should i use?
White spirit will not take off dry paint very easily. It would not harm the enamel though.

Best action is to rub down the paint spots with medium sand paper and repaint with black enamel paint.

If the stairs are outside paint the bare spots with a red oxide primer before the enamel.

Should take long. Best of luck.
