What is the best,hard-wearing paint or enamel to use to paint Mobile Phone covers or small plastic objects? ?

I am hoping to paint my own designs on my mobiles, but most paint seems to be quite soft even when completely dry!

Has anyone tried this? What is the best,hard-wearing paint or enamel to use to paint Mobile Phone covers or small plastic objects? ?
Marine Enamel would be the best. It is used on boats and ships which of course are subjected to the worst abuse. What is the best,hard-wearing paint or enamel to use to paint Mobile Phone covers or small plastic objects? ?
I have found that paint applied to plastic, best to paint on pva glue thinned with a little water first then I guess you could use any paint or acrylic art paint.

humbrol.Buy it from a model shop.you can buy it in very small tins.
Not sure if it would apply so much, or even possible with a cellphone surface...but if you're painting plastic, I think it helps the durability if you scuff and prime the surface first.
I would go with model paint too. There's a lot of colors available, easy to work with, cheap and resistant. It works great on plastic
The best paint to use is a silicone based paint called hammerite. It takes a few hours to dry but 6 weeks to cure properly. It will not chip etc like enamel will. The other option is to buy a airbrush and mini compressor and use proper auto paint with laquer thinners. Some plastics might require etching before you paint so it has something to cling to.
